Shopping Day

We were warned!  The crowds at the mall reminded us of King of Prussia Mall the weekend before Christmas.   There was a line to get into the parking lot.  You needed a ticket to park and parking will cost you if you stay over two hours.

And IKEA – forget about it – it felt like cattle-herding.  Best to abandon the shopping cart and weave in and out among the other shoppers.  So far we have made four trips to IKEA.  And in case you haven’t been there recently it’s all decked out for Christmas.

IMG_5474On the way we spotted a Krispy Kreme.  Ireland is big on donuts!  We have yet to see a bagel.  And Chuck’s favorite snack – pretzels – are a rarity.  In the giant mall supermarket, we finally found a bag or thin pretzel sticks.  They were extremely light on the salt.  I neeto bring some back on next trip home.

Interesting sightings inside the SuperValue.  I think I will pass on the wedding cake but the pancake shack inside the supermarket I want to try next time.IMG_5580IMG_5579

But then it felt like home when we spotted this.  Not TJ but TKMaxx!

At the mall kiosk, Chuck was able to get the setup equipment for cable TV.  He is a happy guy! Until we get home and he notices that the cable connection coming out of the wall is broken and we need an electrician.
